Gohan's Profile

The totally (at first) pampered son of Goku and ChiChi, Gohan reveals at a young age to have extraordinary power, when he helps his father and Piccolo to defeat Raditz. Despite claims to the contrary being made in the NA version, Gohan is actually 4 when introduced, not 5.
ChiChi doesn't let Gohan train (she wants him to be a scientist) so his power is pretty much wasted in the begining - that is, until Piccolo kidnaps him, to train him for the upcoming fight with Vegeta.
Gohan is actually the strongest of Earths Special Forces (yes, he IS even stronger than Goku), but tends to shy away from using his true power, since he doesnt have the same amount of battle-lust that most Saiyans do. Due to his fierce loyalty to his friends, Gohan's innate power is only truly aroused when his friends are in danger. Gohan is also INCREDABILY protective of his father, and totally loses control when Goku is threatened. He is very devoted to his teacher, Piccolo, and was the first to really see the good in him. He's pretty much the reason that Piccolo finally joins up with the team.
While not really being the main character in the sense that his father is, he and Krillin do take center stage for most of the Frieza Saga.
